Tonight's debate further reinforced that I'm going to be voting for the lesser of two eveils, rather than someone who actually deserves to be president. I don't suppose Sheen-as-Bartlett is an option?

I have to plead guilty to not watching the debate: I completely forgot that it was on (and instead went shopping for a rug to cover the nice bleach stain on the carpet). But, thinks to the commentary by
terri_osborne,
kradical, and Peter David, I think I have a pretty good idea of what went on. (Okay, alright, I'll admit that they're biased. But their beliefs are similar enough to mine that I don't think that it matters.)
I've known that I don't want to vote for Bush; that's a no-brainer. And while Kerry would be better, I'm still not sure he would be good. Frankly, I disagree with his stances on several policies. It didn't feel right to be voting for him.
Really, it still doesn't. But what the debate has finally driven home, is that our country can't afford to have him in control any longer. Because I don't think he's really in control; I think he's just a mouthpiece for Cheney and others. Bush is little better than the speaker on the telescreen.
And that thought scares me more than I can express with words.

I don't know what's more sick: the fact that HR10 (the "9/11 Recommendations Implementation Act") would allow people designated as terrorists to be freely deported, including to allied countries known to engage in torture, or that only twenty-two Congressmen oppose it.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go write my Congresspeople....
